Meet Mark Ehrenkranz

Mark Ehrenkranz is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and writer whose work bridges the worlds of recovery, storytelling, and human connection. Sober since 1985, Mark has spent decades supporting people in emergency rooms, ICUs, detox units, and recovery organizations, helping others navigate the emotional, somatic, and human realities of healing.

Before his CPRS work, Mark built a respected 40+ year career in entertainment, creating The NY Film Critics National Series® hosted by Peter Travers of ABC-TV and Rolling Stone Magazine, and 800-VIDEO-411® for the entire Home Entertainment Industry. He is the screenwriter and producer of several films. His unique blend of lived experience, professional recovery work, and creative background makes him a powerful messenger in the movement to destigmatize addiction, elevate peer support, and share the stories that bring people back to themselves.

REACH OUT

Our Story

During the COVID‑19 pandemic, inspired by John Krasinski’s Some Good News, Mark began saying “Go Humans” after seeing stories of kindness and resilience.

Go Humans!™ was born from that spirit—a movement and lifestyle brand that celebrates optimism, resilience, and human connection.

In uncertain times, we aim to uplift individuals and communities by encouraging acts of love, patience, and positivity.

Our anthem, @go_humans #justsayit, invites everyone to share their Go Humans moments and inspire others to do the same.

Addiction and Recovery stories and resources will be the initial primary purpose. Go Humans!™ will interview and invite those in recovery to share their stories. We have a comprehensive speaker program for Universities and other organizations.

Books by Mark Ehrenkranz

"What Mark has done is remarkable, setting his life—joys and agonies included—against the reality and myth of suburbia. His book is an honest odyssey into the psyche of someone who’s been through hell and back."

Peter Travers, ABC-TV, former Senior Critic, Rolling Stone Magazine

“What is the harm in trying to do good? This book is both a testament and a roadmap—a call to reimagine recovery not as a solitary individual pursuit but as a shared human triumph. Offering cutting edge recovery methods, pathways, and storytelling, Mark Ehrenkranz takes us on an intimate journey of the courage and vulnerability required to “recover” our true nature, not just once, but over and over again in our service to others.”

— Summer B. Brancoccio, LPC, LCADC, ACS, CCS President/CEO, NCAAR – National Center for Advocacy and Recovery, Inc.
